Shawnee Hills is a small Village located in Southern Delaware County, Ohio. It’s a Village with a Legislative and administrative branch which consists of a Mayor, Village Administrator, Fiscal Officer, Police Department, and Code Enforcement.
The council meets the second and fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at 9484 Dublin Road.
Located on the West Side of the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir this little Village offers entertainment, recreation, sightseeing activities. Many activities include Safari Golf Club, Ohio Wildlife Center, O’Shaughnessy Dam with an overlook platform of the water table at Glick Park.
This little Village is a collection of 3600 lots that were platted in the 1920’s as a resort fishing Community on the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir of the Scioto River. Most lots are small averaging about 35×70 exclusive of road easement. Not every lot can be granted a tap. Currently, there are walkable neighborhoods with a Commercial Core with opportunities for new commercial uses along Dublin Road. Someday 478 homes could exist according to village officials and the future population may exceed 1,000 within the corporation limits. Right now, there are 30 businesses.
Shawnee Hills is serviced by Delco Water, Columbia Gas, Ohio Edison Electric, Spectrum, Rumpke (trash), and a sewer department.
